Cotlands is a long-serving South African
'non-profit' agency that continues to meet the ever-changing
needs of children impacted by HIV/AIDS in our country.
Founded in 1936, Cotlands was originally established as
a care centre for unwed mothers and their infants, but
in the
last decade the organisation
has evolved into a shelter for abused, abandoned and HIV-positive
terminally ill children from birth to nine years of age.
With headquarters in Johannesburg, South Africa, our responsibility
has changed in response to the needs of our society and
has increased in both the quality and quantity of services
we provide.
Welcome to The
Positive Connection, a first in the world, as it is an Online
Dating Service for people living with HIV/AIDS. The site was
created as a resource and a place for People Living with HIV/AIDS

At its place of safety in Turffontein, Johannesburg, children
of all races are cared for - particularly in regard to their
physical and emotional restoration - until their parents have
been counseled and assisted with their problems. If parents
are successfully rehabilitated, their children can return home
- if not, and parents are declared unfit, the children will
remain at Cotlands, to be fostered and hopefully adopted.
